If you simply can’t find the time to visit the gym then you must make some time to do some exercise at home. Exercise is vital, right throughout your life. It helps to keep you fit and healthy, maintain a suitable weight and BMI and can even help to keep depression at bay. We can all find some time each day to dedicate to exercise, no matter how busy we think we are. Here are some great tips that you can try today…
Take the stairs
Your stairs are a fantastic exercise tool. You can perform simple step exercises on them which actually can provide a great cardio workout. Turn some music on and get moving; stepping up and down for ten minutes is sure to get the heart pumping and the leg muscles working.
Hit the Bottle!
We don’t mean the beer or wine bottle! Instead, grab a bottle or can in each hand and perform some arm routines. Stretches and lifts are amplified when you add weights (resistance) and a can or bottle is ideal (full of course). You can also use weights when doing the stair exercise routine above, to add arms to this great workout.
Lie Down!
But don’t fall asleep!!! Instead, get on the floor and perform as many exercises and stretches as you can. You can do a variety of routines on the floor including sit-ups, leg raises and waist twists. Even if you can perform just a couple of repetitions to begin with you will be rewarded if you persist.
Invest in a key piece of gym equipment
If you cant get to the gym you can bring the gym to your home. The trick is to buy wisely. You should invest in a piece of fitness equipment can work out your whole body, rather than buying several pieces which only target specific areas. A cross trainer is great a delivering a whole body workout, as is a vibration plate trainer. Other typical pieces such as an exercise bike are generally only effective at targeting specific areas such as the legs and buttocks.
There is no excuse for a lack of exercise in your daily routine. If you can’t fit it in after work then why not get up 10 minutes earlier and do it before you leave? With so many things you can do in the home to get active why not make the time today? The sooner you start, the sooner you will start seeing results!
